Sue Denim was born in Yorkshire but spent her formative years in Canada. She returned to the UK years ago and presently lives and works in her studio in coastal Kent. In 2010, after a varied career within the media, commercial art and business, Sue decided to dedicate herself full time to painting.
Sue’s pictures feature a cast of characters that includes people and animals. They convey “communication” moments. Perhaps a couple are sick of each other, or a dog wants a walk, or someone is lusting after another – or a couple are dancing. Sue says; “It is those times when nothing may be spoken – but a lot is said and understood.”
Sue uses acrylic paint on paper, card or canvas to produce her originals and some work has been reproduced as limited edition prints.
