Tessa Tyldesley

In the beginning it was Tessa’s fascination with beads in little boxes that led her to begin making earrings and selling to friends. This developed into a business where she now makes necklaces and bracelets too, selling to shops and galleries.

“I love the colour and texture of semi precious stones. I like nothing better than to have a new batch of stones spread on my table like a huge artist’s palette. I used to paint, and approach the making of a piece jewellery as I would a painting, mixing colours and textures to form a small 3 dimentional canvas that has a rhythm and form that truly comes to life when it is worn.

I work in a light airy studio overlooking my garden. I have two furry helpers, Hermione and Lucia, who like to oversee work in progress or more often than not purr quietly by my side.”

Tessa makes a limited edition of each design, but is always willing to help where she can with individual requirements, for example making a pair of earrings to match a necklace.

The jewellery comes in a box or voile bag.
